Our fixture's Chip-on-Board (COB) LED light engine technology, polished pure aluminum reflector and Fresnel glass lens has superior transmission of the light to the target over traditional separated LED chips (SMD), that requires each of the multiple LED chips to have a separate lens to direct the light output.  The light produced by our fixture is more uniform than a separated SMD fixture.

Our COB light engine has a lower glare index and greater uniform luminance than separated SMD LED light engines.  The COB light engine, combined with the Fresnel lens creates the least glare, ghosting and shadowing in the industry.  The light produced is more akin to a traditional luminaire.  This results in more visual comfort by the players or workers depending on the application. 

In contrast, the light emitted from individual SMD LED luminaire designs is more akin to a series of laser beams in contrast to our COB light engine with a reflector that is like the homogenous output of a traditional luminaire.

SMD LED chips with individual lenses is what is used in parking lot lights.  SMD LED lights create multiple shadows on the object from one fixture.  Athletes and workers cannot identify the true location of a moving object.  Fatigue is created by the shadowing, glare and ghosting of SMD.

Highest Output at the Target

The tight is more targeted because we control the emitted light better than a SMD light engine with multiple lenses. The single polished aluminum reflector directs all of the COB light in a uniform distribution with crisp edge cutoffs far superior to a plastic tense over each SMD chip.

Our COB chip is recessed deep into the reflector insuring that no light produces spills outside of the intended target. In contrast the typical PC lens over each SMD chip does not create a physical barrier to control light spillage outside the targeted area. This difference also contributes to the excess glare of SMD and PC lens technology.

The single lens used by our fixture is a proprietary glass that achieves 99% light transmission but also has a tempered pattern to minimize glare. Our lens will not yellow over time as most polycarbonate lenses of our competitors. This means our light transmission will not change over the lifetime of the fixture.

The single polished aluminum reflector directs all of the COB light in a uniform distribution with crisp edge cutoffs far superior to a plastic lens over multiple SMD chips.  By targeting the emitted light, our fixtures are able to put higher light output at farther distances than most competitor's fixtures.
